Local Transport Strategy and Active Travel Survey  2022

Closed 4 Mar 2022

Opened 24 Jan 2022

Overview

We want to make it easier for you to travel across the Council area in more active and sustainable ways, not only to help the environment but also improve the health and wellbeing of communities.

To help us do that, we need you to fill in this short survey by Friday, 4 March. By answering the questions, you'll give us a better understanding of:

  • the way people travel from A to B across the Council area, and why they travel
  • how we could help make it easier to travel on foot and by bike, bus/coach, rail, and car share

Win!

You’ll also get the chance to enter a prize draw to win one of five £50 Falkirk District Towns Gift Cards. The gift cards can be redeemed at a wide range of retail, leisure, and hospitality outlets across the Falkirk area.

Greener ways to travel

The answers you give will inform both the Local Transport Strategy (LTS) and our Active Travel Strategy for the Council area.

Both plans are needed because a lot has changed since we published our LTS in 2014. A global climate emergency has been declared, the Council has committed to transition to net-zero by 2030, and we’re still in the midst of a pandemic.

Making it easier for you to choose greener, cleaner ways to travel will not only help us hit our net-zero targets, and significantly reduce Scotland’s carbon emissions, but also help local people stay active and save money on things like fuel.
