Carers Strategy Consultation

Closes 27 Feb 2019

Opened 17 Jan 2019

The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 became law on 1 April 2018. This places a number of duties on local authorities to support unpaid carers in their caring role. Falkirk Council, Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership and NHS Forth Valley are working on a joint Falkirk Carers Strategy for publication in 2019. The Strategy will describe how we intend to work with carers, and the organisations that support them, to ensure that we can support carers in a way that makes sense to them. To do this, and in line with the duties within the 2016 Act, we are consulting with carers and other partners on the content of the Carers Strategy and the vision for carer support. We would very much welcome your views on the Strategy and hope you will be able to take the time to let us know what you think.

If you prefer to have a paper copy of the consultation documents sent out to enable you to respond, please contact Annette Kerr, Dundas Resource centre, Oxgang Road Grangemouth FK3 9EF. Tel: 01324 504310 Email:
