Overview

Community Engagement – how are we doing?

Two years ago, we launched our Strategy for Community Engagement 2019 - 2024.

It aims to change the way we engage with local people, highlighting the steps we must take to involve them in decisions that affect their lives and in the design of the services that they use.

We are now halfway through the strategy's timeline and we need your help to review our progress so far.

The ask

Please fill in this survey to tell us:

• if you think we are meeting the strategy's objectives
• what we are doing well and where we could improve
• your experience of community engagement with Falkirk Council 
• what you’d like to get involved in and how we can contact you when opportunities arise.

Next steps

As an organisation we have made a promise to ask, listen, and act on what communities tell us and to improve how we involve them in decision making.

To help keep that promise - and ensure your views are central to decisions being made about the strategy - we will:

• publish what you told us on our website by spring 2022
• embed what we learn from the survey in our report that will go to 2 committees attended by Elected Members in 2022
• share our report and the outcomes of the meetings with Elected Members on our website.
